lister1
Hey guys and gals, my father inoaw has a BMW 740i and the drivers side head light full beam stays on. It's as if a relay is stuck on but we can't find any relays. Any ideas where the relays are located or what could be causing it.
Chr15j
Check the manual for fuse area, relays usually in same area. Jump on BMW forums, they're pretty helpful.
silpig5
relays are with fuse boxs , and there 4 of them . main one behind glave box , 2nd behind kick panel near driver right knee , one on bulkhead under bonnet , last next to battery in the boot . have got a relay/fuse diagram somewhere will have a look for it . if you get a flat battery its easier to use back of starter motor to power up locks with a boost pack . ive had several V8'S . GREAT CARS BUT A PAIN IN THE BUM FOR NIGLY THINGS . ADI

drut
AFAIK as I know this model uses a "light control module" but the only work I have done on them has been mechanical, wiring diagrams:http://www.e38.org/BMW_95E_38_wiring_diagrams_full_set.pdf may help but I would ask your question on http://www.bimmerfest.com/ or http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/ You might also find http://www.e38.org/ of interest
lister1
Cheers guys. I'll have a look in the locations silpig has suggested. If it is a light controll module, can I just replace it or is it a BMW garage job?
