-Mongrel-
What sort of property are you looking for? I have an apartment in Murcia, 12k away from Cartagena, on the coast and in a bay of six 'fishing' villages. No night clubs or English tourists in any numbers, adequate numbers of Spanish bars and restaurants and some cracking walks if that's what you want. 5 minutes from the beach but you will need to hire a car. Further info look here...Apartment Acuario It's a work in progress the FB page but will give you an idea. PM for further details/photos. old rooster
Almunecar is very nice, we used to go there quite often. Not far from Mojacar that somebody else suggested.

It was out of season so very quiet but I'm told it never gets very busy and it has more Spanish holidaymakers than Brits on the ****. Nice area. 100milesaway
Get yourself on the ferry over to Santander, drive along the beautiful coast road to Ribadeo and stay at one of the stunning Paradors. They are not that expensive, many of them are in old monasterys or palaces.Well worth the effort. from Auntie.
