If it was 80 yards with a sub 12ftlbs well done, although i personally would like to take anything at that kind of range with a sub 12ftlbs, well done anyway

hawkeye
Not impressed. Frank. have to agree with the above i have seen "gut shots" taken with 12ftlbs rifles and its not fair on the quarry sorry lads thats a no no ! Bigsam i think you will find that shot was taken with a .22 rimmy i dd not think a sub 12ftlbs could do that damage at 80 yds. should have been a head shot.... Guest jonrms
Sorry I got to add my 2 cents.... so to speak.. was gonna leave this alone.. but to be honest... the shot was over 110 yards... plus.. Bipolar was being nice to only put that yards.. he didnt want to boast. The scenario is as followed.. Very dark. used a lamp to see.... rabbit was hidden... wanted to get ferret food... one shot kill (instant death) The other shot was a head / shoulder shot. And to be fair the gun was also slightly out of alignment.... which it is back at the gunsmiths for repair... So in my view (GREAT SHOT BUD!) and YES almost always we go for head shots.... this is only because of conditions.... And it was a heck of a rabbit.... his ferrets loved them bunnys.
