Thought I'd introduce myself, my name is Pete and I'm in the middle of getting my shotgun licence. Relevant papers sent off and date arranged for my cabinet to be inspected, so hopefully I wont have too long to wait until I have my licence. I've been brought up more so around air rifles then anything else mostly target shooting and some hunting. Anyhow I've been considering a mossberg 500, 590 or remington 870 in 2+1 capacity. I have 5 spaces in my cabinet, so if I can russle up the cash I might end up going for one of each lol. But if anyone has any suggestions that'd be appreciated, look forward to talking with you guys.

Hello and welcome. Can't go wrong with an 870.

Hi, thanks I've heard nothing but good about the remington 870 and the mossbergs. Noticed Saddlery and Gunroom have moss 500's and 590's so I'll be going down there soon as I have my licence. Might go for the 590 first.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys and I'm also from Essex funnily enough. Live in Rayleigh at the moment.

Hello Pete, I'm a new member and in the same situation as you, just sent off for the licence. I'm in Leigh on Sea. Where are you planning to shoot? The nearest clay shoot I could find on the web is Hanningfield

Hi, welcome to the forum buddy. I've not looked about for local clay shoots yet, but I'd be interested if you find any that look decent.
