Cheers in advance, Matt Not at all mate a .22 lr rifle is a .22 lr rifle, you can buy a bolt action or a semi auto as long as you have a slot for a .22 lr rifle on your fac, ATB Flynny. Rimfireboy
Yes, if it just says .22 r/f rifle on your licence you can have bolt, pump, lever or semi auto action. So long as its not full auto
Matty7247
I have bolt action on my licence? Just checked? So does that mean I can't have a Semi-Auto??
Paddy Galore!
I have bolt action on my licence? Just checked? So does that mean I can't have a Semi-Auto?? some forces seem to specify the action, norfolk do, and i had to specify bolt action and self loading. englishman-in-wales
some forces seem to specify the action, norfolk do, and i had to specify bolt action and self loading. I've got bolt and self loading for which i specifically asked for, my brother however, same force, has just got 3 .22's specified so can have either. gixer1
I have bolt action on my licence? Just checked? So does that mean I can't have a Semi-Auto?? Yes - you need it to specify semi-auto if they have already specified bolt action. Regards, Gixer

skylark
This is why its worth asking your firearms copper in for a cuppa and tell him what you want and then ask his advice as to the best way to get it
Matty7247
The Feo came in for a brew and biscuits, was a friendly guy. I think it was more down to me being unaware? You live and learn?
station
Yes - you need it to specify semi-auto if they have already specified bolt action. Regards, Gixer My earlier licence stated Bolt or Self Loading, but now it just has .22lr Interpretations of guide lines - again by different Police forces.
