Weed killer

Recommended Posts

As far as I know, Grazon is a selective weed killer, which won't kill grass.

I would use one of the glyphosate based products, which will kill everything. Roundup is the branded version, but you can get much cheaper generic brands. Try your local agricultural supplier or even ebay.

Yup, the active ingredient you are looking for is glyphosate 360.

Roundup is Monsanto's branded version and hideously expensive. Generic versions like Glyphos are much cheaper and if you can source it through the farm you will get even better prices on it.

It is perfectly safe for dogs, poults and humans and allegedly you could drink it without toxic effect, but I wouldnt try this at home.

I use 9.6 litres of water and o.4 litres of glyphosate as this will kill woody and resistant weeds better than a lower rate, especially as most plants are mature and woody at this time of year, along with the constant wet weather.

Apply it after the dew has dried off if possible and pray for enough time without rain for it to dry on the plant, the longer before rain the better. Expect to see results inside of 7 days, less if the weather is kind, total death of most plants will have occured in about 2 weeks.
