:stupid: if you infer that your pup will be an active shooting dog, even if it`s only now and then, the premiums will be through the roof, there is no distinction between professional and amateur dogs, it`s totally unfair.

Personally I don`t have insurance, but thats my risk.

Mine are with Sainsburys on their Option 2, i havent had to claim on it yet fortunately but it seems a good cover for the money. I didnt tell them my springer is going to be a shooting dog as the premiums go up and apart from being shot in the field there is no way they can know she picked up an injury on a shoot rather than walking through the woods.

thanks fellas, like most on here it will be 95% pet but will come out with me when shooting pigeons & rabbits, how much you looking at a month with petplan ?

 

My lab cost's me about £24 a month but that takes into account the multi pet discount, different breeds are different prices. I have claimed 4 times with various dogs for different things and every time it has been dealt with very efficiently. Probably over £2500 in total.
