Herr Plinker Posted August 19, 2012 Report Share Posted August 19, 2012 A great 5 hours over rape stubble today, 52 pigeons between myself and topgun66 (TG getting the lions share). More than happy to put the hours in to learn my trade and love being out in the fields. This was my first time on my own in the hide with TG on another part of the field and I spent all my time watching what the birds were doing (thanks Cos - the mentored becomes the mentor), moving the hide when I could see that my position was making them jink away at the last minute and missing more than I dropped. But I'm a pragmatic guy and know that will come with time and I'm already looking forward to my next lesson. Oh yeah, Mrs Fox, how could I forget. In between the moving and the missing a fox decided to cross my path, that was her first and last mistake. One less fox for the farmer to worry about.
