Another cub a first for the 6.5

Went to the same field as last week and set up very much like last week, except I was using my 6.5x55 and 140gn homeloaded interlocks.

This time the fox came in from a hollow in the field to my left about 30yds away and as I moved the rifle, one of the springs on the Harris bi-pod twanged and she turned around to look at me. She then ran 20-30 yds and turned, because I turned the Fox-pro scorpion back on and I shot her stone dead. No sign of an entry wound but the exit was gory :oops:

I think she was from the same litter as the one last week but being a vixen she is lighter and smaller, but still well on.

 

Might go out again tonight.......but to another spot :D
