hi everyone, just wanted to tell people on here especially the newbies like me that if you really enjoy your shooting but find yourself with nowhere to go then all you have to do is try hard and eventually you'll find somewhere.

i always used to have a great rabbit infested piece of land available to me, it was a place where i both fished and hunted and the land owner, myself and my brother where all good friends but all good things come to an end and when he sold a large piece of his land to developers so they could build a new service station on it the shooting was stopped.

so from that point on i had absolutely nowhere to go and i had brought a new air rifle that was gathering dust, to say i was gutted would be an understatement!

i tried for almost a year to find somewhere to shoot as i was determined not to sit back and give up on the sport i enjoy, i sent out around 50 business cards to farms around the west midlands offerring to help control any vermin problems they may have and i didn't hear anything back. i even visited a few land owners myself only to be knocked back yet again.

so then i decided to make the internet my next tool of choice in my search for some land so i searched out the forums like pigeonwatch, the####, gunsonpegs and advertised on thesaddlery and the responses i got where amaizing.

i turns out that the people to ask are the people like you who love to shoot and most probably at some stage in there lives have also struggled to find somewhere to shoot.

i've made new friends, been invited to meet fellow shooters, given the contact details of syndicates, farmers, locations........everything.

and now i have two places i can shoot and i can't wait to get started, so the simple fact is that there are many kind people out there who are more than willing to help you all you have to do is ask nicely and they will be in touch! many thanks to all those that helped me and good look to the seekers! :good: :good: :good: :good: :good:
