mel b3
from the bottom of my heart i wish you the best of luck . but your union (unite ) will shaft you ! , im a local authority hgv driver and came out well in the current cost custing measures , but , many of the other hgv drivers had wage cuts of up to 60% , this was fully accepted with nil resistance from unite , they shafted the members harder than any employer could ever do ! JDFrain
Good luck mate, stick with the strike in my opinion, it is so hard to believe what is happening to this country, i am shocked that a skilled wagon driver for such a big company gets paid so badly its a total disgrace...... JDF pleased to say i dont and wont shop at Tesco
nabbers
Good luck from me too, I guess Tesco will just bring in private drivers. The people of this nation are getting shafted every way they turn, more of us should be fighting. As a race, we seem to have given up and become down trodden. Hope you get to shoot something for the pot for xmas
LondonLuke
Good luck, personally I think going on strike is counter productive Has it ever worked in modern history ? (last 20-30 years) stop paying the unions and keep the money for yourself Ask the tube drivers being paid £40k plus as well as the other TFL employees being paid a bonus for working over the Olympics
sitsinhedges
I find it ironic that a the unions who have welcomed the influx of Eastern Europeans with open arms and smeared anyone who thought otherwise as a racist are now complaining that wages are being driven down because the supply outstrips the demand for workers. It's only going to get worse I'm afraid because there will always be someone somewhere in the world who is more desperate for your job than you, and the current trend is to let them all in to take it from you.
