Which CZ?

Still haven't filled the .22lr slot on my FAC yet because I can't make my mind up.

Wood or synthetic stock, never had a synthetic but not really a problem I suppose, so it comes down to gun model choice.

Style - I feel the barrel is too shiny, (is this exactly the same as the silhouette apart from the finish?).

American - Never had a straight stock.

So it's down to the Silhouette or the Varmint

Help :good:

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the info, I've only seen the Style in pictures, and thought it had a shiny barrel.

Is the style the same apart from the finish as the silhouette? If so why chose the silver over the blacked barrel?

It seems now that a 16" barrel is preffered over standard lenght.

The barrel is Nickel (not stainless steel) so doesn't need to be loked after quiet so carefully for the lazy shooters out there! I think the silhouette is the same just with a blue barrel.

I've got the 16" style, it's just right with a mod on the end.

& no its not shiny. Don't forget to get a trigger kit for it at the same time.

Hi peltman....

why a trigger kit? :good:

cheers

Some not alll, 452's have dodgy triggers, you can adjust the wight of pull of the standard one, but if it still doesn't feel right you can buy a 'trigger kit' from Eric Brooks for about 12 quid or so. Basically it is 4 softer springs and some aluminium tubes to take up creep, if you have loads.

SP is right, but when he says 4 softer springs you only use the one that you feel is the right trigger pull for you.

I used the second stiffest.

Also you only use one of the tubes supplied. I dont remember which tube i used to take up the creep, but my trigger set up is perfect for me.

This topic has been covered in a earlyer post.

Course it has to be a CZ dont be silly :D

Who else makes better rimfires for anywhere near there price?

I have the classic and love it depends what you want to use it for and your taste. If your going to scope it and dont want iron sights no point going for any models with the hogsback.

For offhand field shooting id go with the varmint as the extra weight lets it balance nicely or if your using the gun on the bench the stock is shaped better.

For other field shooting id go with the american purely because i think its the nicest looking

If its going to get rough treatment style or sillouette depending if you like the stainless barrel

I have a 16" varmint (heavey barrel) balance is abit front heavey but off a bipod or from a vehicle its great.

I have put a trigger kit in too which makes the gun feel 100%better as i like light triggers. Make sure the barrel is free floating as mine was wasnt. As soon as i free floated it the accuracy became clver leafed at 50yrds opposed to 1" group....
