soap
I have an opportunity to go for a moon flight on a field of wheat- Wigeon have been feeding on the field for a while so fingers crossed there will be some about. My question is- is it worth using decoys I have some Mallard that will do but I also have some goose shell deeks which I thought could also attract the wigeon? TJ91
Wouldn't bother, if they are there they are there, just get under where they are coming from

jammydodger
I would not use duck decoys unless thay have a lot of white on them,I have used the poly trays off chicken & meat you buy but peg them down at one end all so you will most likely have to lie out in the field as the birds tend to drop in well away from eny cover, lie in tram lines were a face vale & face feet first in direction of incoming birds, eny birds that are shot put out as decoys belly up. good luck.
