Dave-G
My variation for 17HMR and bolt .22 is going through, Me being such an old unfit ***, in a few years time will need em as lightweight as possible. A Quad is on my shopping list... I propose to shorten the 17HMR ( I'm told 16" is an ok length) would 16" (or less) be ok for the .22rf? (My semi auto has a 12.5" barrel) Does anyone know if barrel lengths need to suit their specific rifling twist rates? And would a single moderator do em both? Graham M
I6 inches is all that is needed to burn the powder in a .22rf cartridge, so that will be ideal for your new .22. You will find that your .22rf will be a 1-16 twist which won’t be affected. G.M.
