No problem. I'd take any decent safety, left or right handed. My first gun was an old Auto 5... I love it to bits and I'd rather swing that crate-wood crooked-ribbed full choke thing around than my wonderfully fitting 525.

I think if I had the guts to put an adjustable comb on my Ithaca I'd be pretty happy though :D

Like this one (not mine, one of the new builds coming out of Ohio)

Yeah I'd like a spare stock to do that to! Well, just the comb adjuster... I'm not greedy!

Also, is the pump club meet on the 11th? It's miles away but I'll spend the week thinking about it... I won't win it due to my choice of pump gun... I used the same gun on a work clay shooting team building day and only scraped a win alongside people who'd never shot before :D

Morning Gentlemen,

My grateful thanks to Impala for offering me a leftie s/c for one of my 37's, which I may well take him up on.

Curiously my newer Deerslayer version absolutely ex-factory, doesn't seen to give me any of the problems my earlier '37 does where I accidentally re-apply the safety especially when dispensing multiple lead down range.

When I return home, as still in Devon, and dealt with piles of mail and foot-high grass, I'll get some photos done of both M37's with a view to selling the standard gun .............. so watch this space! May I add my congratulations to Impala for his restoration work and making left handed safety catches 'jolly well done'.

I hope you gentlemen have an enjoyable day at Northolt next weekend, the weather is kind and the clays fly slowly!! Look forwards to hearing all about it,

Kind Regards,

Steve

I now have the Model 37 ambidextrous rotating catch working as I wish, the mk 2 being smaller, simpler and stronger. After a few field tests I shall make it in steel (all being well)

assembled with sharp edges removed

SAFE position

FIRE position (right handed) Lever now well out of the way and both sides feel and work well (Forward to fire seems logical to me)

The original detent pin keeps the catch positively engaged in either position

I shall attempt to get there for about 10 also. Is there a plan on how we will identify our group from the rest of the shooters arriving?

Cars?

I will be driving an elderly burgundy-coloured Toyota Surf...(4-Runner)
