How much wind is too much?

People often mention the hypaflap decoys on a rotary don't fare well in windy conditions.

 

I have two questions:

1. How windy is 'too windy'? (Mph would be good)

 

2. When windy, what happens to the decoys?

I left my wind measurer at home that day so windy

And they don't flap they just bend and the sticks come out

i bourght a pair of them around christmas time,,but yet to use them as nothing hitting the rape around here,,,,did read on here that if you double up on the carbon wing rods it helps when windy..

You have to keep the magnet speed to suit the wind so as the wing when facing away from the wind direction does not flip over or the rods bend too much , but as mentioned in very strong winds 2 rods can help, but I take mine off when the wind speed is too much and put them on a bouncer or back in their bag.

As for what mph wind speed is a problem I pass on that one but if the hypas look wrong going around like a caffine stuffed pigeon in flight then its probably too windy .

Had a 1000+ on rape for two month problem is a shot and bye till the afternoon then bang and it's be back in morning, same with the same amount of crows
