-Mongrel-
It's ok, it won't cost anyone anything! I'm after your thoughts only! Quick as you can though please. If you were setting up a website that you intended to push as a vermin control site ie 'Free rabbit control' etc, what would be the words that you think people would use when searching Google etc for someone to eliminate a vermin problem? Hamster
I'd say just the usual stuff like kill, vermin, eradicate, control, rabbit, pigeon, rats etc but make sure you state county as I feel most people would search by region ?! -Mongrel-
Try VERMIN......CONTROL....and .....FREE Even an illiterate like me had managed to get that far, I'm looking for all the other things that people may type in when looking ffor a resolution. If I stuck with just Free vermin control, what would make my site stand up in front of everybody elses? That said, this is intended to work in conjunction with other methods rather than as a stand alone although the pevious version did get me a small pemission on its own merit! TIGHTCHOKE
A basic is to mention that you are INSURED, clear away what you shoot and are SAFE and RELIABLE!
-Mongrel-
Maybe a sense of humour!!! Sorry if you thought that was aimed at you personally, it wasn't, it was just a reiteration of what I was trying to elicit. I already have a site up and running which uses the obvious keywords, I was fishing for the less obvious mate. I save my sense of humour for weekends only, it's too dry for daily use. e2000e2000e
I think 'Problem' might be a good keyword, so someone might put in 'Rabbit Problem' or 'Rat Problem' into the google and up pops your site!

For the OP, put yourself in your potential clients shoes, what would they search? How do I get rabbits off land rabbit problem fox eaten my chickens From a web search point of view insurance, basc, reliable will not be a requirement. Bleeh
I think 'Problem' might be a good keyword, so someone might put in 'Rabbit Problem' or 'Rat Problem' into the google and up pops your site! This chap has a decent head on his shoulders. People who haven't considered shooting as an option, will be searching for phrases such as 'How to stop rabbits eating x' or 'How to keep rabbits out of my x', something like that. You want to have *species* *verb* from *verb* *object* (Rabbits from coming into garden, Deer from eating flowers, etc). I'll let you think them up but that should get you going. You can send me my commission via pay-pal, if you want. Edited February 22, 2013 by Bleeh
Eskoky
Do a quick search for "Google adwords keyword tool" with this you can enter one keyword and google will give you a list of related keywords and their estimated monthly search volume. Run a number of them and pick out all the keywords with a high search volume and those are the ones you need to include in your site. When doing this I also consider the competition that Google shows - try and find some keywords with highish search volume but low competition and then really plug these - low competition means you have a better chance of being found. I would recommend signing up for an adwords account before doing these searches - you don't need to spend any money - but it is easier to use the tools. Also make use of local area terms e.g. pest control southampton, and pest control hampshire - local terms are always the easiest to get to page one on - or so I have found. Don't go crazy and list every town in the UK just the big local towns in your area. Finally don't try and stuff in all the keywords you can think of - choose a few only and once these are performing well add in more. If you make a site called for example - www.hove-pest-control.co.uk - then really plug the keywords for just hove - you won't have as a big an audience but for local searches you'll dominate the rankings.
