There is a possibility that from using Rimfire and then Centre fire could cause the mod to explode

Big Dog
My T8 says on the side of it .222 Rem deadeye ive - talk to me more about cleaning a Mod. What type of solvent The air liner is OX I know one and used it yesterday to blow my T8AR out but was wondering if doing something like what your are saying would also stop rusting. I saw what look like a wee bit of rusty stuff at the exit mouth or hole on mine yesterday too.

BD My reference is from using a T8 for rimfire use where the build up of unburnt powder residue is highly possible and then using it on a full bore rifle . I store my T8 in a oily sock thats got several sachets of silicon in it also (The ones that come in the box with a camera for example ).......I NEVER spray WD40 inside or anything else for that matter .600 rds later and still no signs of rust I would prefer compressed air to Oxy and if you can find it use a non chlorinated solvent degreaser /cleaner
