snipers eye
Hi all, looking at getting my first hmr. Is there any advantages in 16" or 20" barrel. Cheers Paul the only advantage of a 16 inch barrel is its handy if shooting out of a vehicle,as far as i know both barrel lengths will shoot just as accurately. Dekers
There is a distinct advantage of the longer barrels, they are cheaper! :whistling:
_martin_
The 20" puts you closer to the target by a massive 4"

kent
in velocity terms not really, if you want to moderate it I should buy the shorter if you don't the longer might be better. The length will have no difference in accuracy potential

Mangled99
I've got the 455 thumbhole in both .22 and 17hmr with the 16" barrel. Got to admit the 17hmr is the one I grab nearly all the time when I go out bunny bashing and I think I might of struggled with a 20" barrel shooting from the jeep.
