.410 reloading

Is that with brass cases

You used to do that with paper cases

Sorry, the brass cases. I made a punch to punch over size cards.

 

I think it was .440". A stack of them on the powder helped seal the gasses in the case better and made a suitable wad. I load my muzzleloaders the same wad wise! (sometimes).

 

I have some brass 12g loads loaded the same but with black powder, I made a punch around .750". A few of them and a fiber wad and more cards gives more umph than with just 12g components in the large brass case. The fiber wad squoshes out on firing.

 

Never fiddled with .410 paper cases.
