Items i used

2 22mm mdf cut round on my bandsaw

3 50mm foam cut round on bandsaw

4 8 M8 30mm bolts 4 washers

5 plastic cover for seat piece old jacket.

6 1 drum free Total cost about £18.post-40804-0-31083000-1364924769_thumb.jpg

Just one question about an otherwise excellent looking seat....why does it NEED to spin, would you not slide on it enough to shoot?

Not a critiscism in any way, I am curious as to why you felt it necessary as I have a drum that I was going to put a fixed seat on?

The reason i went for a swivel seat it make shooting so easy. If you got birds going left to right,or right to left you just spin with the bird. If you got birds coming from behind just spin round and take your shot.

Used it the last few times and nearly all the crows where shot with me sat down. Also if you just want to check all around you, you ain't got to crank your neck looking arround. If you make one i recommend you make a swivel one. ATB Terry

Just a report on my new seat.Been using this now for crow decoying shooting, and iv'e found it the bee's knees.

With the swivel top as well has proved a good investment. Right height to shoot from and hardly ever stand up to shoot now. :yahoo: Terry

I've been using an old feeder barrel for a few years now and just put on a swivel seat mobility aid I bought from ebay for around 8 quid. Not sure if it's against forum rules so I won't post the link but easy enough to find, It works for me.

Edit to say they have gone up a couple of quid in price but you can search for item number 261229152475
