How long will they be on it!!

Most of the birds will concentrate on the row ends, when the seed drill lifts out of the ground seed is spilled , modern drills don't leave much seed on top in the rows, so get the decoys along the row ends where the loose seed is still visable, they will only stay on the drillings while there is still seed on top, as soon as its gone they will be too. :lol:

The type of soil and shape of the field have a huge effect on this. There's no exact answer but heavy stoney soil (and soil that doesnt break down well) with lots of steep slopes, twists and turns produce the best shooting for me. Same fields year after year.

I could see they were on the ends where they had lifted the drill
