Pole Star
I've seen 2 parents and 2 grandparents die, and none of them got suddenly religious before they died. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs. I respect theirs. They should respect mine. You are most welcome !
Pole Star
I have been there a couple of times, and seen a mate die, funny his last words were not for God or his mum. I have two doctors a nurse and my wife who will testify as i went very white and my blood pressure went off the scale,as i was slipping into nothingness my last word was similar to the sound a chicken makes,no cry for God or Mum,in reality not many call out for either it is just a myth portrayed by hollywood and used by christians. I don't mind if you have religion in your life, see my earlier post about my wife, but please don't try and justify your beliefs to me i don't care. Neither do I about yours ! that's s up to you mate ! .

Pole Star
Scratched into the wall of the Mauthausen-Gusen Concentration Camp. (Translated) "If there is a God, he will have to beg for my forgiveness." I'm sorry, but if that doesn't send a shiver down your spine, then I don't know what would. All the suffering in the world just lends a hand to the point that we are on our own and no one to protect us. As you said SCRATCHED ! ie no not carved ! I wonder who scratched it ?? You perhaps ? goodo123
So father Christmas isn't real? Well where do the presents come from then? The toilet monster is real, who else eats your poo? Seriously tho we are by no means intelligent enough yet and probably never will be before we can give a definitive answer to any of these arguments. Me personally doesn't believe in god. The stories it tells are worse than what you see on cartoons. Each to their own but if you never question what you believe or look at both sides of an argument then how can you expect to be respected and come to a medium. Certain faiths say you should spread the word, actively recruit etc etc. This is just a business idea to earn more belief/money/respect/power. True faith comes from yourself. welsh1
There is nothing like a good religious thread,it nearly proves perpetual movement as it could go round and round forever I honestly don't hold religion against anyone, but what i do detest is when someone tries to force it on me ,or thinks that if he goes on long enough i will be converted,it won't happen(sorry to disappoint some) What's the old saying religion and politics. On a side note someone commented about the architecture of some churches, and i have to admit i have been known to drag my Wife into a church, but only to take photos, there is something quite stunning about some churches from an architectural photo point, and as said a small church, and lets not forget chapels(where i got married) in the countryside can look amazing. As for last words,if it's a peaceful job in my old age,i hope to be so drugged that i won't be able to utter a word
