claycrasher
Hi peeps, Brought my first shotgun on Saturday and so Monday dually informed my Local police force both by post (Registered Mail) and email of the details. Can anyone tell me if they respond in any way and let you know they have received the info and have put it on file. Nick.
Poacher
no they don't, which is why you should keep your proof of postage (get out of jail card if you like :-)
philm
You should ask on email for receipt and set it for delivery and read receipt

KFC
I used drop off my letter by hand because it was fairly local but on my recent FAC transaction I did it by email on a Sunday evening. On Monday lunchtime I phoned the FLO and they confirmed that they'd received it and all was in order.

Royal Mail recoerds that fact that it has been delivered. This is the reason why the law requires you to send it that way. It has been changed to allow email notifications but that has not actually been oficially implimented, as far as I am aware. J.
