He beat valuev purely on speed, making Valuev look clumsy and unbalanced but Fury's a whole different ball game. sako751sg Posted September 7, 2013 Report Share Posted September 7, 2013 (edited) If its the Fury we have seen up till now going into this fight I cant see anything but an easy night for Haye ending with a KO whenever he wants really.However,Haye doesn't like taking many chances so cant see anything different from this with the first few rounds Haye nipping in when theres a wee opening and getting oot again and I think Fury will struggle with his speed as hes very easy to tag.Also think it will be a durty fight with Fury trying to rough and lean on him trying to wear him doon for the later round where Haye might gas but I think with his lack of defence Fury will get caught flush at some point.On the other hand Fury has taken this training more serious than ever so he maybe will surprise us with something new in his locker but im going for Haye inside 6 but ill be rooting for the ####. All in all its like most of Hayes fights out of all proportion to what will happen and just for the money not the fans. To be really honest its not important both are not fit to wipe Henry's shoes. As for Henry Cooper being better - he certainly got knocked out more than either of these will ever do. If Henry had been fighting today, he would have done well to hang on to his licence - after the number of times he was knocked out. Wee bit harsh on Henry,and its worth remembering the quality of heavyweight boxers around in that era but he did go through a shocking patch early on which would make most boxers today throw the gloves in.Also nowadays he would be fighting at cruiser and he weighed in at only 13s 7lb against CC in 63 which in todays era is comical.As said though,never world class. He is remembered for one punch, not getting knocked out by Roger Rischer, Amos Johnson, Floyd Patterson, Zora Folley, Ingemar Johnasson, Joe Bygraves, Peter Bates and Uber Bacilieri. He also treated Jack Bodell rather badly - bit full of himself - our Henry. That said - today, he would have been a world class Cruiserweight.
