To clip or not to clip

I have 2 springer bitches, 1 of which was spade 2 years ago. Her fur has gone all dull and fluffy and to be honest she looks a little scruffy. I brush her often and she is on good food but nothing seems to work.

My question is should I get a dog groomer to clip her or is that something I will later regret?

Any advice appreciated

Thanks

if the dog lives in and you have central heating the coat can be dry .......... buy some 'tail & mane' from countrywide or a livery yard and spray that on it might help, also stop them picking up quite so many burrs, seeds etc ........ clipping out will ultimately only make the dog / bitch fluffier !!!

I have a spade cocker and i give her salmon oil with her food. I only get her belly and feathers clipped as her coat of the back and sides is fine, and can be managed with a ferminator brush. Someone near me has a cocker and gets a full body clip and the coat doesn't look right.
