Psyxologos
is the Queen British i should coco just like her parents, grandparents & great grandparents, Duke of Edinburgh is obviously from Scotland And for that you are sure, right? The Duke of Edinburgh is from Scotland? Where from, exactly? Edited October 24, 2013 by Psyxologos
sitsinhedges
After how many generations would you consider someone Brittish? Is the Queen British? The Duke of Edinbourgh? That is irrelevant. The point is that all these articles usually have an agenda of some sort. The Powers That Be for example consider anyone who gets a passport to be British but turn that around and give me a Chinese passport then ask a Chinese person if I am Chinese shows the absurdity of that position. norfolk dumpling
The problem here is all the brown stuff put out by the media (in all its forms) that we hear/see every minute of the day. Politicians or policy makers to quote the article are just as bad at distorting the truth. What the figures really are saying is the measure of concerns we have for these issue rather that the level of the problem.

Correct. If you have entered this country under false pretences you will never be Britiish, however long you stay here. Neither the mass immigration programme that has been in place since 1997 when Labour used immigration to change the demographic to its electoral advantage, nor the open border policy imposed on us by the EU has any legitimacy, since neither have democratic mandate. No party has ever compaigned openly for mass immigration. The British elctorate have never been given the chance to vote on the issue, the policy has been imposed on them without their prior consultation or consent, including the signing of EU treaties which destroyed our borders, one of which, the Lisbon treatie, was signed by a Prime Minister who was himself unelected. Those who exploit what have been essentially acts of treason to gain entry to Britian can never be British. You can pin a label on a donkey that says it is a giraffe, but its not, it is a fraud. it is a donkey and will remain a donkey till it dies. As for the Royal family, for one thing. the Queen is half Scottish. Her mother was a Scott. And had Prince Phillip arrived here with taramassalata down his shirt and a thick Greek accent he would still be a rightful British citizen because he was not a political implant, he married a British woman, and stayed married to her. secretagentmole
Quote from article... "- Crime: some 58 per cent of people do not believe crime is falling, when the Crime Survey for England and Wales shows that incidents of crime were 19 per cent lower in 2012 than in 2006/07 and 53 per cent lower than in 1995. Some 51 per cent think violent crime is rising, when it has fallen from almost 2.5 million incidents in 2006/07 to under 2 million in 2012." When the police refuse to accept the obtaining of money or property by deception is a crime, telling victims it is a civil matter then yes, crime is under reported and may actually be rising (any doubts refer to the exploits of the Brothers Graham). Also do not forget every speeding ticket is a crime solved in the statistics

Psyxologos
Corfu I believe. he is certainly Greek in origin? Indeed. He was born in Mon Repo, the summer Palace of the former royal family in Greece, to who he is related. He has nothing to do with Scotland...
