If this thread is allowed to continue it would be very interesting to hear your views. My questions and observations are not made to incite an argument, merely to find how you view the situation, we rarely get the opportunity to do that unfortunately.

 

It is easy to lump everybody who arrives from any particular country into one category but obviously there are exceptions to any rule.

 

As a Romanian do you think that the statistics which suggest that 1/3 of all pickpocketing gangs caught in London are of Romanian origin are false? If not can you understand why some people here are concerned about another unchecked influx from the same country? Whether they represent the majority of immigrants from your country, given their current population ratio relative to all the other people, it does suggest that there is cause for concern?

 

I heard a news comment the other day about Romanians already here suggesting that we shouldn't allow more to come over in an uncontrolled mass, how do you feel about that? As far as I can see there is nothing to stop convicted criminals coming in?

 

You mention that the beggars are roma gypsies and not the hard working normal Romanians, the problem we will face is that they will be just as eligible to come here and may well be attracted by what are seen as rich pickings?

I've joined this forum so I could share ideas and get more info regarding the country side sports. It seems that there are more and more posts regarding immigration and I do see more and more people replying and making statements based on news and statistics made by God knows who.

My question to you is : who so you really blaim and what for? Do you blame the foreigners for taking the jobs? Do you blame the scumbags claiming benefits and not paying tax? Or do you blame the Gov ( the one that British citizens voted and not the immigrants) ?

 

You are complaining about NHS and jobseeker allowance ! As far as I'm aware of you can't claim any benefits if you haven't worked and payed your taxes, let's say I work for 1 year then I decide I don't wanna work and live on benefits, will you blaim me or the Gov for supporting a lazy ****. I need to go to a hospital, if I haven't paid the NI contribution I have no right to be treated in NHS hospital so I will need to go for the private sector and pay for it. If it's that easy to claim something that I don't deserve blaim the Gov first for giving me the right to do so. This being said have a look around you if you go mid day in a shopping centre and see how many youngs ( and I talk about the ones between 20 - 30, not the kids) are wondering around instead of having a job! How many of these are immigrants and how many are British and then think again who's claiming those benefits!

As you maybe realized I'm Romanian as well, I don't like the type of Romanians ( begars, pickpocketers, 2 kids / year and so on ) that are moving across Europe, not only UK and I will do all my best to fight against them as I've done it all my life ... So that in the end I could enjoy a holliday in Spain or Italy without having to speak german or english with my ms so they won't approach us and then end up in section for cracking their heads, or to do my job in UK without my colleague asking me : how come you don't have darker skin?

 

Folks just keep this forum for what it was intended and stop worrying about any **** that's on TV or newspapers, I love this island for it's people, for it's history and for what countryside has to offer ... You should do the same as no one will ever take this away from you as no communists, gypsies, politicians and so on never took my country away from me even if I keep moving from one place to another with the job.

I see all sorts of people everywhere doing all sorts of things but if you worry to much, you will likely experience a tidal wave of after effects that can absolutely over take your life.

It is indeed a forum for "countryside sports" but this is the "off Topic" section where discussions other than those relating to the mainstream can be enjoyed by the members.

 

I'm sure we should all be more tolerant in some peoples eyes but I sometimes wonder how they would view things if the situation was reversed and their country was facing the same problems?

 

No doubt the countries the immigrants come from have their own problems, which they must believe to be worse than ours, from their perspective or they wouldn't want to come here?

I am not sure if it has been mentioned previously in this thread but Nigel Farage put it in a nutshell when he stated that the well off in our society regarded immigration as a good thing because it meant cheap services for them, ie, nannys, cheap employees for company owners etc whereas the lower classes only saw work opportunities taken from them as an influx of people willing to work for the lowest wages deprived them of access to the job market and enabled companies to operate on minimum wages for all.

No im not being funny once caught ilegal immigrants are not deported straight away unless a passport is found

 

It can take years to deport someone so they are either locked in a detention centre or released and told not to work and report weekly

 

Those that do get benifits

 

Maybe Ukip are like the rest but im willing to give them ago in the hope they have more balls and stand upto Europe

 

Or at least give us the option to decide

Perhaps the OP could tell us specifically which news item or report he refers to in his opening post. There has indeed been a report into the effect of EU migration to Britain published recently which has been heavily publicised by the BBC. It has been heavily publicised by the BBC because it was commissioned and compiled by the BBC through its charity wing which receives substantial annual donations from the EU Commission under the pretext of promoting peace and cooperation across Europe, or disseminating propaganda to use more accurate language. This report was in effect funded and co-authered by the EU Commission itself which ought to place its statistically unsupported but rhetorically embellished findings into pretty clear context.

Could the OP clear this up, just so everyone knows which particular myths they're busting?

No language skills were ever needed to fillet and process fish and I would say the full text of that ad is to circumvent the rules.

Minimum wage might be OK if you're living with your parents - or live in an area of the country where rents are lower, but in London, that is not a subsistence wage. I'm guessing someone on that wage is being subsidised in one way or another by the taxpayer too.

 

Where i want to live and where i can afford to live are 2 different things. Its also a choice that many people in work come across in their life time.

We need to stem the tide of unskilled immigrants and start forcing some of our own work shy feckless off sofas and into work. I don't blame migrants for working hard, I have seen first hand a number of organisations struggling to get our indigenous population to come to work, but they've struggled Mainly because they have a sense of entitlement to earn 30k , despite leaving school with nothing more than a btec in beat-boxing.

I'm don't know how accurate those statistics are, but i know for a fact that there are a lot of pickpocketer originally from Romania. I know this causes lots of concerns, but they do not represent the majority of immigrants from Romania, and they do not represent Romania as a nation.

Britain, same like other western developed countryes, should never allowed uncontrolled masses of immigrants coming over, regardless from which country or continent. Australia and New Zeeland are a good example to follow. Immigration is good, as long as is controlled.

Indeed , but i'm afraid i have no answer to this question. I'm unhappy as you are, at the end of the day we are in the same boat. I embraced Britain as my home country , i respect and follow the law and local customs and any other immigrant should do the same. Common sense is telling me that if you decide to live in another country, you should abide the laws and speak their language.

On the lines pinboning and filleting go hand in hand. It used to be a single man job who filleted then boned his fillets.

Now one fillets, other pinbones, still used to be paid by piece work and there are some pretty fast hands around.

These places now want to pay by the hour and are doing good men out of work and the local economy out of money for a few pennies more.
