Danoi99
I'm really puzzled by this thread. You say this guy is a "mate" but start this thread. You say he treats you like **** but you are still his "mate" You obviously have no respect for him and rightly so by the sounds of it. So is he just a "mate" cos he has a bit of permission and you have none? Be honest, are you chomping at the bit to go see the farmer and tell him your "mate" has lost his license but you could take over the permission? Listen up dude. I call him a mate cuz that's what he is O.K. Yes I don't think much of his behaviour as regards drink driving etc. And Police taking his licence was pretty much on the cards. How can assume that I have no respect for him? I have not named him, I have not turned my back on him, I would continue to shoot pigeons with him as long as it doesn't put my licence at risk. He is a likeable character and we have worked together for many years, we have nearly fallen out many times..............as friends do. I have known him for 20 years+, we aint always been close. Your comments are way out of line sir. In fact they do more to show the sort of character that you are. I have never been anything other than a true friend..................I very much doubt the same could be said for you. I have never considered blabbing to the farmer to get the permission, and the accusation has made my blood boil ! Pigeon shooting is something we did together, it is good laugh. If we can carry on doing it safely and legally I would do it, end of. So grow up and stop trying to wind people up. Cuz lets be honest, it's easy to do, anonymously from the safety of your P.C!! keg
Sadly there are some on here that can make 2 +2 equal 64. We can all be guilty of being quick with the keyboard.
Danoi99
'Let he that has not sinned cast the first stone' The one thing I hate about our so called society is how we turn on our friends and judge as though we are perfect. If he was my mate, I would be asking why he got drunk, and why he decided to drive home instead of getting a cab? I've yet to meet the man or woman who hasn't made a mistake in life. He will pay by losing his licence, probably lose his SGC being classed as irresponsible, and he might lose his job as well. Having his mate turn on him, and his back to him, disgusts me. I don't know who or what you think you are, but a friend you are not! Explain yourself please. How exactly have I turned my back on him? I spoke to him yesterday for an hour to discuss how things might pan out as regards shooting etc. We had a giggle about it all, he can take it well. He knows he has messed up, I've said my bit on the subject and we are all cool. You are just being silly. If needed he could have shirt off my back, and I his. No need for you to try and slate me online pal, I have always been there for my mates when they need it. You are right on 2 counts.............you don't know who I am, and you don't know what I am. So what makes you qualified to pass judgement? Nothing whatsoever! You have nothing to be disgusted about other than your own misguided attempts to make me look bad. The drink driver in question would put you right in your place if you were to suggest that I wasn't a good mate. Good day to you sir.

Good day Ok dude. Lets get something straight here, I asked some questions, I made no statements about anything and never accused you of anything dude. So my comments are not out of line in any way. It was you that said in one of your posts that your "friend is rude to you, has ripped you off bla bla bla. I'm puzzled why you would describe him as a "mate" and why a "mate" would start this thread. You say you've never been "anything but a true friend" but the last 6 pages would suggest otherwise. As for you comment "anonymously from the safety of your P.C!!" Are you saying I'm some sort of coward that wouldn't say this to your face or that if I did you'd get violent? You're welcome to my address if either is the case

He has stitched me up many times, ripped me off many times, offended me many times.....he is one of the most arrogant & selfish blokes that I know. dadioles
An interesting thread but it does reflect rather badly on his shooting colleagues if he was with them when the alcohol was consumed. Presumably they knew he was going to drive and they, in effect, aided the offence. It also reflects rather badly on them if he had been drinking before going shooting with them. Alcohol and shotguns are no more appropriate than alcohol and driving. His life has just got an awful lot more complicated, and expensive.
