How is it where you are?

North Wales coast road closed, road under 18" of water bottom side of Holywell . Pics to follow

Edit: To add photo road by where I work.

This is a bridge that on a normal high tide stands about 3 feet above the water level. The 4 inch of concrete above the water is usually18 inches above road surface

Getting phone calls from EA to evacuate....risk to life they say.

Been to seafront but not rough as wind is against tide.......its high though so the next 90 minutes are the crunch time.......last floods in this area was 1978 and my house was flooded with 3 feet of water.

Sea defences are a lot higher now though.

Got my most treasured possessions sorted, my dogs and guns, lol.......I'm not particularly worried though although if the wind was Easterly, I would be.

I am 100 yards from the seafront by the way...........

Total gridlock around Goole, Howden and surrounding villages. Some 'knight of the road' professional lorry driver ignored the signs that the Ouse bridge was closed to high sided lorries and drove over, then got blown over and closed it in both directions! I really hope no-one was injured, but I hope he gets prosecuted to the full extent and loses his licence! There were queues for miles in all directions.
