johnlewis
I want to alter the toe of my shotgun so as to suit me. I contacted local gunsmiths and they want £120 + vat to do it. I didnt say I'm a leftie and my sons are right handed so I was now thinking of fitting an adjustable pad to make the gun straight (as poss) stock for me and then the lads can alter it if they use the gun. Any comments or ideas welcome as to what to do or use and where to get it.
Gordon R
Use a Bisley pad. Remove the existing Bisley pad and glue a recoil pad to the aluminium plate. Less than £20, post paid. It would probably take 15 minutes to fit.
Will Poon
If you've adjusted the pad for your liking wouldn't it be a bum ache if your lads adjusted it for there needs ? Must be an easier way
johnlewis
Thanks Gordon R will look into that. Willpoon I have thought of that and I was going to (once I fitted pad how I wanted) make a template to show where I want the pad and if my lads use the gun it will only be when I am not there at clay ground. But as gordon said for less than £20 I have not made the gun unsuitable to my lads to use if I get another one that fits me better they can have the 1st gun.
