thanks guys, it's not happening to me personally but it's a bloody awful mess for someone in the family, are there laws regarding tracking a person electronically without their consent or knowledge?

I'm not sure that any evidence gleaned from doing such is admissible in court.

There are laws, mostly preventing government bodies from doing it ( the ripa act) but private individuals don't count die to the legislation. Trackers on cars etc can be property interference if a public body and tresspass for anyone else depending on how and what it is.

If it's gathered by a pi and is not unlawful then it tends to be legal.

Should add it depends entirely on who is doing it and what they are doing, pm me if you like I might be able to offer advice.
