Hunter
Moderator (T8 new), Rifle off to screw cut. Lens pen Bore Snake BK scope covers I feel poor, but atleast I have more kit Rifle is due back in a weeks time. Its a funny feeling knowing your gun is out of your control.. first time its been away. When its, I will fully free float the stock, give it scope caps, and re-zero the scope. Then it will be foxing time, as Il push my mentor harder to get some sessions in. Its amazing how all the little bits add up! really hit the plastic card hard today..
il cacciatore
I hope this isn't a cheaky question but in what price range was the mod and screw cutting and are you going to have it proofed? The gun shop here takes £305 for a mod, screw cutting and proofing. I think he said proofing was £35.
Hunter
I dont intend to sell this rifle, so I reqeusted it does not get sent to the proofing house. No problem! so itle be back home in a weeks time! Trade price of screw cutting is £36.00 but itle be a bit more if you take it to the shop. I bought the mod brand new for £150 (I work in a gunshop sometimes, so they always give me a friendly deal). Quite lucky there, but it still adds up. Proofing is only required if you intend to sell the gun. Otherwise theres no need. Im glad of this as really the longest weight is having it sent all the way to the London or Birmingham proofing house.

When you say lens pen is it the one with a brush one end, then a flat round special cleaning thing/disc the other end!! Is it to clean your scope?? I would not recomend using it for your scopes. I used mine on my scope on my Air-rifle, used the brush first then used the cleaninig disc, but i didn't get all the dust out with the brush and have ended up scratching the lens!! Not a happy chappy
Hunter
Kip, I mainly bought it to have the brush. I have heard of your story before, and I have been told its best to stick just to the brush, then use an alcohol wipe. Thanks for writing this though, as I think all lens pen users should be aware of that.
