Hi im looking at upgrading my browning medalist to a bettinsoli diamondline and i was wondering if the bettinsoli diamondline will last a long time and should i see any trouble with the diamondline. I've had a look at some reviews but they all seem to be mixed some saying that there very good and others saying that its not worth it, i will mostly be shooting clays and game birds.

thanks for you help.

My F-I-L has one and he thinks it's great. I'm sure you'll get a few on here who say it's good and a few who will tell you to spend the money on a different brand but buy second hand.

Most important thing for me is fit & feel. If it's not sitting right in your shoulder and you get a dodgy sight picture then any shotgun is virtually worthless.

Get one down your local club to try out and if it seems like a good fit then you could be on to a winner.

Ive got one... bought it new about a month or so ago and have been out and done about 150 clays every weekend since and can't fault it so far. I bought it new and looked at a few other guns for the same money and in my opinion this seemed the best put together out of what i saw.

For the price i payed i think it represents good value and if you can get a good condition secondhand one then all the better.

That was about to be my next question as i would class it as an 'upgrade' to the medalist as such. As mentioned it maybe worth getting it extended.

What part of the world are you from? Your welcome to come and have a go with mine if your local to me.

Personally the Medalist is a better gun.

Wanta shotgun that will last a long time? Buy a miroku end of! You'll get a 20 year old one for the price of a bettinsoli and I recon the miroku will outlat the Betty, without anything other than a couple of springs and pins after a hundred thousand or so carts........

Or a Beretta mechanically better but the Miroku won't let you down apart from the odd bottom main spring.

I'm not sure if the Bettinsoli has been around long enough yet to make a judgement one way or the other, bur for now I would have to fo along with those who recommend a good secondhand Browning, Miroku or Beretta. Even secondhand any of those would have a better resale value than a aecondhand Bettinsoli.

Just my opinion.
