lord_seagrave
I'm not an overly sentimental sort of chap, nor am I especially old, but I am so fond of these little red tins of goodness. They look like they've been around forever. Lady Seagrave might turn her nose up, but a tin of pilchards on toast is the lunch of champions. Any other fans? Gimlet
Pilchards on toast was a cheap breakfast from my childhood. Now I prefer my pilchards/sardines fresh, rolled in oatmeal and fried. Same with mackerel fillets, with some new potatoes and a spot of dill.
Mentalmac
dogs are yes Haha no not dogs! haha. As in the pilchards... If you put them on toast from the tin, do you get lots of bones stuck in throat etc?
