ads/pop ups

If you go to the google apps store you can get "ad blocker" as a plugin for Chrome, it's free. That just tend to stop ads appearing on the actual webpage.

You can setup a more aggressive pop up blocking policy in your browser settings for both browsers too, have a look in settings and play around.

Unless you have a need to use IE I would simply avoid using that entirely.

The pop ups should have the name of the pop up on it i.e. Web search or Smart search or similar-you will most likely have downloaded these hidden inside another program-you would have been given the opportunity to refuse them but who reads all the small print? You should find them by going IE-Tools-manage add ons-disable them and then remove the programs by add/.remove programs via your control panel-then install Adblocker

hi guys im currently running google chrome and I-e on the laptop and every page I load gets bombarded with ads or pop ups apart from switching browsers how can I stop them thanks paul

Its because your looking at porn websites and your cache is full of adware permissions. Your best idea is take it to a computer repair shop and just be honest and they can try and clear it.
