Davyo
Spend the then Bank holiday Monday afternoon in the allotment getting the last of the beds set out.Really pleased considering it was waste land 3 yrs ago, first year I lost everything with the rain.Spend last year prepping the soil hopefully this year I'll get some decent veg. Still a lot to do,going to block pave the 2 areas that have the black membrane and bricks. At the righf of the shed I am going to build a 6x8 greenhouse. Bottom right picture is how it used to be. secretagentmole
A Poly tunnel is a good alternative to a greenhouse, just need some timber battens, old scaffold poles cut into 5ft lengths, old gas or water mains poly pipe and some sheeting. Works well and a damned site cheaper.
scutt
looking tidy I got a bit frost damage to some veg from that heavy frost the other night but not to bad lost half dozen green beans .Spuds popping through and shallots coming on .built a new potting shed on the end of the greenhouse and paved a few bits of the garden this spring looking forward to retiring so I can put a bit more time in the garden..
