sandspider Posted June 24, 2014 Report Share Posted June 24, 2014 You need a lot of ram force to get the lignin (IIRC) out of the sawdust in order to cause the briquettes to stick together. millrace Posted June 24, 2014 Author Report Share Posted June 24, 2014 not interested in biomass, have just had one system installed in house for customer and dont rate this at all,, to much work having 2yrs logs piled and dryed ahead...not for me im afraid,, no where im coming from is creating logs for the fire not sawdust burners etc making use of materials i dump give away etc ,,this got me interested i know forces to make them bind just looking info on what size ram/pressure from someone who has tryed to make one yes i could buy a machine but wheres the fun it that........ kent Posted June 24, 2014 Report Share Posted June 24, 2014 Just remember MDF cannot be burnt legally without a licence (which wont be granted) The wood your trying to turn to brickets needs to be proper wood without the toxic rubbish in it.
