DirtyDeeds
I am looking after my mates AL 391. After todays shooting, I said I'll take it home and clean it up for him (he hasn't got his SGC yet). How do you get the breech bolt slide assembly out to clean and re-oil? The manual says to remove the cocking handle..... but doesn't say how! In the picture it looks like some little tool is used in the little slot that this handle moves in, but beyond that I haven't got a clue. Much help would be appreciated. DirtyDeeds
Cheers guys. I thought with all that cycling backwards and forwards that it would be something more substantial than that, and it was quite stiff so I didn't want to tug on it too hard! Feeling like a donkeys posteria now! Thanks.
DirtyDeeds
Jeez. Stripping down, cleaning and oiling a semi is quite involved; my mate owes me big time if I've got to do that every time we shoot. Can't wait 'till he gets his own licence, then he can take it home with him (don't think he can wait, either!). As always, these forums are a mine of information - many thanks. pin
You can't pull it out with the barrel engaged, only when its removed Have a look at this pdf which is the service manual from Beretta. It tells you which bits to oil, and which bits to leave alone - some parts you don't want covered in oil or they clog.
DirtyDeeds
Cheers Pin; spot on mate, ta! The guy at the shop showed me basic disassembly to put it back in the case, but not removing breech and trigger mechs. for cleaning/oiling. Thanks.
