Peter_HMR Posted February 15, 2007 Report Share Posted February 15, 2007 Get some very fine steel wool and put a generous amount of oil on the barrel where the rust is and "polish" it and it should come out. if it still doesnt look right buy a blue kit the birchwood and casey stuff should do fine for the what you want the paste might be easier when dealing with a small part. palombier Posted February 16, 2007 Report Share Posted February 16, 2007 Hi all Kirky and Vole; Psittacosis is right ultrafine wire wool (grade 0000) and gun oil will sort your rust out without problem.
