wymberley
Put out the decoys, place hide in killing area, go to pub for a few hours, come back and pick up pigeon that broke their necks flying into it.
AdamNW
Got mine from eBay, but scrap what I said as I've just cancelled my order due to the fact that its advertised as a ghost blind predator but its not its a copy with different mirror angles etc! So a little naughty to advertise it as something its not! I shall just go and spend my money on a camo net.
Bleeh
I'd be careful using this. I'm not saying you can't, I'm just saying if an Anti wanted to cause a massive fuss about you using this, he'd probably have grounds to do so.Countryside and wildlife act 1981 5 Prohibition of certain methods of killing or taking wild birds.E+W (1)Subject to the provisions of this Part, if any person— (a)sets in position any of the following articles, being an article which is of such a nature and is so placed as to be calculated to cause bodily injury to any wild bird coming into contact therewith, that is to say, any springe, trap, gin, snare, hook and line, any electrical device for killing, stunning or frightening or any poisonous, poisoned or stupefying substance; (b.)uses for the purpose of killing or taking any wild bird any such article as aforesaid, whether or not of such a nature and so placed as aforesaid, or any net, baited board, bird-lime or substance of a like nature to bird-lime; ©uses for the purpose of killing or taking any wild bird— (i)any bow or crossbow; (ii)any explosive other than ammunition for a firearm; (iii)any automatic or semi-automatic weapon; (iv)any shot-gun of which the barrel has an internal diameter at the mule of more than one and three-quarter inches; (v)any device for illuminating a target or any sighting device for night shooting; (vi)any form of artificial lighting or any mirror or other dazzling device; (vii)any gas or smoke not falling within paragraphs (a) and (b.); or (viii)any chemical wetting agent; Edited July 30, 2014 by Bleeh
AdamNW
Interesting point, but if we took that word for word semi auto shotguns are a prohibited method 😞
Bleeh
Interesting point, but if we took that word for word semi auto shotguns are a prohibited method Further into the act " “automatic weapon” and “semi-automatic weapon” do not include any weapon the magazine of which is incapable of holding more than two rounds; " Before you ask, as far as having a FAC shotgun on license, as long as you've got crop protection/pests/pigeons, you are allowed to use it outside this act (as you've got a license to do so, i.e a Firearms license with the conditioning allowing you to - if that makes sense) As for taking it "word for word" I would, this is the law in black and white. If you where brought up in front of a judge this is what he would read, (word for word) and then decide if you've broken that law or not. Take it seriously because the police will. JBS
Notice how it's casting a shadow on the field and then imagine the biggest reflecting bird scarer when the sun shines at it, these would be better sold to farmers to keep birds off the winter rape! Also hours of fun chasing them down the field on a windy day, stealth nets are bad enough in a breeze! Save yourself some pennies and spend some time learning how to build a decent hide

A1Decoy
Oscar could you explain what you mean by "get the angle right" please. Well, we sell the original Ghost Blind, which to be fair is ridiculously priced compared to this. The panels on it sit at an angle so even when the sun is at the lowest point, its reflection cannot reflect into the eyes of what you are hunting. However this blind looks to be at no angle what so ever, so it reflects the beam of the sun into your hunting area. Oscar
