fergie
I read somewhere that a little cod liver oil is good for dogs, joints and coats. Am I right? If so at what age can I start giving it, how much and how often
bodach
I use it in capsule form, gives good jacket and improves general health. I used to use the liquid stuff and found it too messy. Buy mine in 1,000 packs for dogs off ebay and you go by weight number of capsules per day. B.
gazbev
Kronch sell salmon oil in 500ml or 1 ltr with a pump on top of the bottle so you just squirt it on top of their food and I think it works out cheaper that way
ben0850
Did wonders for my old springer in her later years, (unless it was my imagination / placebo effect) certainly made a difference to her stiffness though I'm sure. I just used to pop one capsule into her food every day.
EMcC
I take cod liver oil capsules, one a day size, big ones. When Holland and Barratt have them as bogofs I get one tub for me and one tub for my dog. Each morning when I have one I give my dog one with her morning biscuits. It certainly helps them and makes their coat shine too.
