Fisherman Mike
My gas Meter appears to have stopped working or keeps sticking. the arrow wasn't revolving when gas was being consumed but did start again when I gave it a tap with my knuckle. Anyone know who to contact to have it checked or replaced and do I pay for it. ? Thanks O knowledgeable ones.
welsh1
Contact your gas supplier, they will check it and if it is faulty will replace it free of charge.
B725
Just phone who ever supplies your gas and tell them you think it is sticking they will send some one out and replace it free of charge if it needs changing. They will not want a meter that is not recording the gas used. Lord Geordie
Take the magnet off of it  Not sure if it still IS, but when MY meter needed changed I had to call Transco! My energy supplier had nothing to do with the meters themselves!
mossy835
best tell them they will find out in the end, that its faulty,i had it with my electric meter it was faulty and did not tell them a year went by, they found out i had to pay, the back lump

cueball
As a gas fitter. Don't bother calling national grid they're not bothered unless its safety related. Call your supplier and notify them. If you ignore it they may average out the readings if they think you are trying to fiddle the Meyer by not telling them of a fault
Chris Bb
I think the guy that fitted mine hated all his colleagues who'd have to read it in the future. It's at the end of the understair cupboard and mounted backwards!
