Inland Pinks in Scotland

RC 50 in 3's, Eley Magnum in 3's, in fact any 3" 42-50g of lead 3's would suffice.

I wouldn't bother with steel at all for inland decoying north of the border.

Hi,

Going to scotland in a few weeks time, inland decoying for Pinks.

Got Mammoth BBB 3.5" cartridges for the pinks with a kicks modified choke.

Would anyone recommend a lead cartridge that I could take aswell?

Thanks

Have a safe journey and enjoy yourself.lead is old hat in my opinion Steel shot put in the right place is all you need.If your decoying Geese 36gr 2 or 3 and 1/4 or 1/2 choke would be my choice

I think the same as you, most of my shooting is on the shore but I do take a trip up north inland with an old boy who can't drive, I still use steel inland why change if it works on the shore for you?

I'm in Scotland next week For decoyed geese you only need 42g threes or fours through quarter choke, half choke max BBB is too big you will get a **** pattern Save the 3 inch cartridges for flighted ones or higher ones

Thats interesting, bad pattern with a half choke for BBBs? I think I might have noticed that.

I would have thought eley lightning 1 or 3 would do the job nicely over decoys.

Still haven't got my hands on these Lightnings yet. Really want to try them now!
