butchdickason
When I had the same problem, I just did a system restore to the date prior to the problem ocuring, If you need help with this, open all programmes, find Accsories, open and click on System Tools, restore is there. Hope this a help. Butch Edited October 17, 2014 by butchdickason
Loki
Hi I would suggest delete the McAfee as could be resource heavy which may be one reason for the slowing down/crashing, download (free) MS Security Essentials for the antivirus, run it, then download CC Cleaner and Malwarebytes (both free) and run these to clean up any leftovers/mess....... onatangent
go into msconfig and disable mcafee starting up, see if it improves at all. Its heuristic abilities caused me to remove it a few years ago and just use avg free and malicious software removal tool, mrt.
