Mark,

I strongly recommend you make contact with your local Police Fire arms officer. Every regional police HQ has one.

He will be able to supply you with copies of printed regulations relating to Airgun and firearms use.

I would make yourself familiar with them before you carry out serious shooting outside the confines of your own property. Ernyha is quite right armed trepass is very serious offence. :*) FM.

Heard some people talking about bush beating wat is it

Also known as "beaver bashing", "***** binge" etc. You will have to watch the "just girls" type of videos to answer that one.

Seriously, when you do get permission, you should get it in writing from the landowner, even if you draft the letter yourself for them to sign (make sure it has their name and address on it). Saves hassle if you get stopped by the police, you can show it to them.
