We have some fabulous resident birds in this country and some spectacular summer migrants too... so apart from the humble wood pigeon, what is your favourite and why... Mines the little Long Tailed Tit, I find them charming birds, very sociable and gregarious and clever too, they use the elastic properties of spiders webs in their well engineered nests so that they expand has the clutch grows... simple yet effective. Watched a flock of about 30 working their way through the sycamores at the back of the garden earlier.. searching out small spiders for scoff. wonderful. ! Dirty Harry Posted January 10, 2015 Report Share Posted January 10, 2015 In the garden probably goldfinches then long tailed tits and green woodpeckers. I love birds of prey. Had a Sparrow Hawk make a few killings in the garden and that was awesome to see. Also had barn owls, tawny owls and little owls in the garden but the little owls got chased off by crows.
