paulhartwell
Its a Winchester grand European sporting 12g 28" barrels. Good condition, well figured stock. I'm in Warwickshire. I will add some photos shortly. Edited January 13, 2015 by paulhartwell
Gordon R
Going rate seems to be about £1450 for a 30 barrel model. I suspect the 28" will be less. A lot depends on condition, as spares are not plentiful. Where is the top lever - central or over to the right?
sishyplops
Chokes, rib width, lop All of the above please
Scully
Have a look on Guntrader for ideas of value, or better still Gunstar, as there is only one on GT currently. Is this a game model with fixed chokes or a trap model with multis? I know someone who may be very interested. Pic's please?
paulhartwell
The top lever is central. Chokes 1/4 and a 1/2. Rib width 8mm and the lop is 14.5"
Scully
Is it cased in its original motor case?
paulhartwell
Its in a Winchester green canvass case, red felt lined. Its got Winchester written all over it. Hope this helps. Fixed choke. Edited January 13, 2015 by paulhartwell

It's just gone up in price then. Any pic's?
ayano3
Yes its worth £100. But being the good guy I am and knowing it won't sell too well at this price I will do you a massive favour and actually pay you over the price so here is £120. Where do I collect it from ?? Gordon R
Photos are needed to be more accurate. Top lever being central means it's soon going to have a loose action, if not already.
paulhartwell
I will add more detailed pictures when I get chance
Gordon R
Looks like the Game version, with rounded pistol grip.
Scully
As Gordon says; it's a game version with POW grip. Pic's are slightly out of focus; what is the dark mark on the flat of the stock just above the trigger guard? The stock appears to have nice figuring. All matching numbers...barrels, fore-end and stock?

Gordon R
http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/265371-winchester-grand-european-12-gauge/ http://www.adifferentcalibre.co.uk/shotguns/winchester-grand-european-12g-detail http://www.gunwatch.co.uk/guns/1436-Winchester-Grand-European-for-sale First two are around £1k. Last one is £1500, but a minter - top lever presumably well over to the right. If the dark patch on the stock is just a bad photo - I would value it about £1k. If the patch is in the actual woodwork - £850. Edited January 13, 2015 by Gordon R
shaun4860
This should now be placed on Gunwatch as you have a price, Do NOT try to sell it on this thread. How to sell on Gunwatch is posted at the top of private gun sales in a sticky

Hardwoods Green
They never made a Grand European Sporter, it is definitely a game
Greatbloke
That dark patch on the stock behind the action indicates its been over oiled over the years could lead to a serious crack in that area
