Firearms renewal question

Hi all just a little confused with one of the parts of the renewal process (this is my first renewal) Do I have to get another letter of proof of where I shoot? As the land that I shoot on has not changed and I am still carrying out pest control there as I have done for the past 12 years. 7years with airguns and the past 5 with FAC.

Many thanks

Matt

Yes, you do.

There are some people who lose their permission to shoot, so it allows the Police to make sure you still have legal reason to possess.

I use the same letter each time but change the date. Just get the landowner to re-sign.

I shoot over a few thousand acres and have an open licence but still needed to fill in a form for one of the farms "for their records". I also got a call from the firearms team saying that when they assessed the land they found no sign of deer (I had mentioned that deer were found on the ground). When I gave them the dates that I shot 2 fallow bucks they stopped with that line of questioning.
