Dunkield
We are heading down to Honiton area this weekend, does anyone local know of any clays shoots on down that way? Sunday would be best, but any day really would be OK.
sportsbob
Cant help that far south and the cpsa website only lists afew clubs local to Honiton but they seem to be saturday, I will be here though with about 30 others, it is very organised and different to any where else I can assure you. http://bvgc.org.uk/ Edited May 1, 2015 by sportsbob
Browning
Ashcombe is about 30 mins from Honiton. Turn up and shoot from 10am until 1pm. Usually 7 or 8 sporting stands on, shoot what you want. We usually get there around 10am, you're very welcome to join us.
vmaxphil
North Devon highly recommended
Masher
Podimore has a 100 reg sporting on this Sunday. It's only about 35-40 mins from honiton. It's a lot quicker than trying to fight your way past all the grock boxs up to North Devon!
Dunkield
Sorry for not replying earlier, and thanks for the pointers as always. We ended up doing a 50 birder near Broadhembury/Dunkeswell way? Next to large block of FC wood if that helps. No idea what it was called even the fixtures list doesn't have the shoots name on it, but it wasn't bad at all. Unlike our shooting
wymberley
If you come again, bring the fly rods. Then if you're having a bad day, there's a nice little trout fishery close at hand - Hollies. Didn't know about the clay ground - would have said Ashcombe but someone already had.
Dunkield
I have driven past the signs to that place quite a few times but never popped in - thanks for the heads up. We have driven over to Fernworthy before now, bit of a drive but it has many good memories for us, just not the midges!
